I was fortunate enough to be working a wedding yesterday where the reception was held at the fantastic Castle Leslie at Glaslough.

O M G, this has to be the most amazing reception venue I have ever been to in my nearly 3 years as a full time photographer. There are so many rooms and each one is so unique in the way it is designed and decorated. Another nice touch is that each room provides a bit of history of the location with personal memorabilia going back many many years.

I really HAVE to go back and visit it again and I am sure it would make for a great long weekend break in the future sometime. It will also give me chance to really have a good wander around without the added pressure of a wedding day.

Dinner at the Lodge afterwards was also great. The service was great, the food was excellent and was not in any way overpriced which really surprised me considering the location. The staff were very friendly without being over the top and did anything that was asked of them with hesitation.

One thing I would love to do is to go back with a model or three and do some shots there as the castle and grounds are so big and have such a wide range of locations to play with – now to get the permission  :-))))

The drive up to Dublin on the morning of the wedding was without any issues but in typical Irish fashion the weather could not decide whether to play ball or not with a few drops of rain. We had a small shower when I went out to take some pictures of the 1928′s Brenchley Convertible which was used to ferry Ann Marie and her dad to the church but to be honest it did not dampen anyone’s spirits.

I would also like to thank the talented Christine for helping me out on the day. Thanks Christine, you are the best!!!!!!
