I really love taking pictures of newborn babies and when the opportunity to take a picture of someone so young comes along there will be no hesitation from my side.

Aren’t the feet so cute and small on a baby so young? Getting those little details especially of the hands and feet are just as important as the shots of the baby itself as it always serves as a lovely reminder in years to come.

One thing is for sure, there is nothing in the world that can beat seeing the bond that a mother and baby have. Sometimes I forget what I am there for when I see it as it really is for me quite beautiful.

This picture was one of the very first shots I took when I first started getting into photography and learning various techniques to create different effects the moving clouds in the background. I still really like this image even though it is still old. I might get this made into a large print or even a canvas just to see what it looks like than on the screen.

Got to love this post by What The Duck as it depicts actually quite a lot of what is going on today’s society especially from newspapers and magazines as it means they can get access to a vast amount of images with no or very little expense. After all who doesn’t want to see their name in print, right??
Now that cameras nowadays are becoming a lot more clever at taking great pictures it is making your average person become a much better photographer. Granted, if the camera is being allowed to make ALL the decisions when taking a picture then the images will not be consistent especially if the lighting or your position to the subject changes.
Just a little gripe really but in good humour

I love taking images of newborns and this shoot was done using totally natural light. It was quite a challenging shoot as the house where I took the pictures was pretty old with really small windows so it was not allowing for much natural light in.

I think it would be nice to throw in a wedding image in the mix. Got to love the old style cars and the way they are decorated for the bride and groom for their big day.

I recently took part in a 1920′s styled shoot and it was such a blast in more ways than one.
Until the morning of the shoot we had some pretty ok weather and thought we would get some great images using an old railway station as part of the background. However, the day of the shoot it got steadily worse and when we arrived it was not the nicest. I think the little bit of rain was ok to deal with but boy the wind when it came down the track it really felt like we were all in the middle of Siberia. The wind chill had to be in the minus figures and I have to say “hats off” to the girls for braving as much as they could without coats on.

I have to say Middleton Park House in Castletown Geoghan is one of my favourite places to visit as it is not very often we see a location with such a grand staircase like the one here. The Georgian architecture really has stood the test of time and makes for such a truly fabulous place to have your wedding day there.
